VATOPEDI ABBEY IN AGIO OROS PROJECT: Scaffolds around the dome of the Catholic Church of the Vatopedi Abbey in Agio OrosC. HOUNTOUMADIS S.A. was in charge for the erection of HDG scaffoldings around the dome of the Catholic Church of the Vatopedi Abbey in Agio Oros. The scaffolding was erected around the dome and upon it for the creation of a suitable metallic structure for its covering with PVC thus protecting the workers from the weather conditions.
Within the difficulties of the project one should take into consideration the morphology of the dome surroundings and the effort of not traumatizing them by using suitable protective materials.

“MACEDONIA” INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT IN THESSALONIKI PROJECT: metal scaffolds and working decksOur company was in charge for the erection of HDG metal scaffoldings and working decks for the maintenance of the canopies at the “Macedonia” International Airport in Thessaloniki.
The scaffoldings were erected both at the Airside and Landside of the Airport. Despite the difficulties the Airport continued working normally during the whole project’s period.

Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center PROJECT: Settling, hiring and disassembling metal scaffolds for the needs of the construction site of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.Our company, with its experienced working personnel and the support of the production unit, is able to respond to the site’s needs.
The installation of the scaffoldings, both at inner points of the Opera Building or the Library and outer points with great height, is being done in such time that causes no delays to the time schedule of the whole project.

TOWER OF THE ANCIENT FORTRESS OF AEGOSTHENA (NE) PROJECT: Selling and settling of metal galvanized scaffolding with Tow Bridge on top of it for the act of supporting and restoration of the NE Tower of the Ancient Fortress of Aegosthena.Both inside and outside of the Tower were placed metal galvanized scaffolds with the necessary working decks, while on top of the scaffoldings a Tow Bridge was installed.
On the Eastern side of the Tower, due to the large surface inclination, a metallic construction was placed made out of metal frames and lattice elements in order to provide enough support to the Tower’s outside scaffolding.

TOWER OF THE ANCIENT FORTRESS OF AEGOSTHENA (SE) PROJECT: Selling and settling metal galvanized scaffoldings for the support of the SE Tower of the Ancient Fortress of Aegosthena.The galvanized metal scaffoldings were installed in two phases.
During the first one, the scaffoldings for the outer walls around the Tower were placed, while during the second one the inner scaffoldings were installed along with the necessary staircases, working decks and toe boards.

Doha-Qatar PROJECT: COMMERCIAL BUILDING, Airport Road, Doha-QatarOur company, through its collaboration with the Qatar’s Sheikh Mansour Bin Jabr Jassim Al-Thani and the companies Red Line and QST (Qatar Steel Technologies) respectively took over the installation of metal scaffoldings to the Commercial Building. The building’s most important feature is its shape as it looks like an eye. Metal scaffoldings were places around the perimeter of the building whose sides are not vertical.
The site-leaders of our company proved their experience and the company’s elements were adequate enough as no delays were mentioned throughout the whole construction phase.

LUCAIL BUILDING, DOHA-QATAR PROJECT: LUCAIL BUILDING, Doha-Qatar, building of total height 148,00mt.Our company, through its collaboration with the Qatar’s Sheikh Mansour Bin Jabr Jassim Al-Thani and the companies Red Line and QST (Qatar Steel Technologies) respectively took over the installation of metal scaffoldings to the Lucail Building. The building’s most important feature is its shape as its floors are not centered.
The response of our site-leaders was so quick securing the on-time delivery of the whole project.

Support and Restore of the Aquaduct of Hortiatis in Thessaloniki PROJECT:Μetal scaffolds for the act of Support and Restore of the Aquaduct of Hortiatis in Thessaloniki.The installation of the scaffolds took place on both sides of the Aquabridge in a length near 200,00mt. Due to the inclined ground the Monument’s maximum height is 21,50mt., while its minimum one is 0,30mt. The Aquabridge’s width is reducing as the height increases so metal brackets were used to capture the wall’s surface.

Eject Festival 2014 PROJECT: Settling, hiring and disassembling of metal scaffolds for the needs of the Eject Festival 2014 at Palaio Faliro.The needs of the Eject Festival required the installation of metal scaffoldings for the creation of the entrance gate and of special metal constructions on which the sound speakers and a set of monitors were hung.
On top of the metal construction was placed the stage support.

Marfin Bank’s building PROJECT: Settling, hiring and disassembling of metal working deck and metal galvanized staircase for the maintenance of the roof at the Marfin Bank’s building at Marousi, in 2013.The metal working deck was settled at a height of 16,00mt to allow the maintenance of the roof. For the personnel to be able to go up and down a metal galvanized staircase was built. Around the perimeter of the deck protective bars were placed to prevent the personnel and their tools from falling.

US Embassy PROJECT: Settling, hiring and disassembling of metal scaffoldings at the US Embassy building in Vassilissis Sofias Avenue, in 2006. The entrusting was made by the PANTECHNIKI construction company.The settling of metal scaffolds around the perimeter of the building and the working decks at a height of 19.00mt allowed the workings at the building’s façades. One of the most important characteristics was the placement of the decks at a height of 19,00mt with the use of metal brackets as well as their support on the main scaffold.

The height of the tower was 34,00mt, while its scalable geometry was no problem to our company.

Andronikos Kiristos Clock PROJECT: Selling and settling both inner and outer metal scaffoldings for the maintenance of the Andronikos Kiristos Clock in the Archeological Site of the Ancient Roman Market of Athens.Metal scaffoldings are installed inside the Monument, while a protective floor was created in order to protect its original floor. On the outer side of the Monument not only scaffoldings but also a galvanized staircase, safety net and an additional roof to protect the working personnel from bad weather were placed.

The supporting scaffolds were placed in several points of the Temple and the façade ones outside the western side and inside the northern and southern wall.

Building in Stadiou Street PROJECT: Settling, hiring and disassembling of façade metal scaffold at a building in Stadiou Street, at the center of Athens.The working procedures at the façade of the building required the use of metal scaffold. Due to the frequency of people passing near the scaffold the use of the protective metal brackets and the safety net was necessary. The pavement’s width, at the specific point, is that much that the protective brackets were supported by special metallic construction so as not to stop the people’s transit.

This challenge was successfully confronted as no problems were reported.

Metzitie Mosque in Chios Island PROJECT: Selling and settling of metal scaffoldings at the Minaret of the historical Metzitie Mosque in Chios Island.Through time the Minaret of the historical Metzitie Mosque presented an inclination from its vertical axis with the danger of collapsing to be visible. In order to repair the damages, the Minaret had to be taken down and then built up again. Our company took over the settling of metal scaffoldings around the Minaret’s body at a total height of 22,00mt above the near roof stages. The scaffoldings were so supported in order to take all the wind loads of the area and were taken down as the Minaret was being condemned.
During its rebuilt, the scaffoldings were built up once again.

Suburban Railway Stations PROJECT: Settling, hiring and disassembling of metal scaffoldings and working decks at several Suburban Railway Stations.In order to complete and deliver the Suburban Railway Stations, our company took over the placement of metal scaffoldings and working decks. The deck’s total dimensions were between 10,00mt.-12,00mt. of height and 5,00mt. of width. The decks were used for the work on the Station’s roof.

Suburban railway station at the International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” PROJECT: Settling, hiring and disassembling of metal working deck at the Suburban railway station at the International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”.The metal working deck was placed there in order to allow the maintenance of the station. Our crew could only work between 00.30-05.00 due to the extremely high voltage of electric power. The access was allowed straight to the deck so the single metal decks of the scaffolds were not used for work.

Ministry of Communication and Mass Media PROJECT: Settling, hiring and disassembling of façade metal scaffolds at the bent section of the Ministry of Communication and Mass Media, in Kallithea 2006Settling metal façade scaffolds for a bent section like the one of the Ministry of Communications and Mass Media is a challenge for any company. Our company solved this problem by using double frames to better capture the shape of the building. Apart from that both outer and inner protective bars were installed wherever the building’s wall was incomplete.

The total height of the scaffoldings reached 44.00mt.

Hellenic World’s building PROJECT: Settling, hiring and disassembling of metal scaffoldings around the Foundation of the Hellenic World’s building in Piraios str., in 2006.The need to create a working deck outside the dome of the building was a challenge by itself. The requirement for no contact of the scaffoldings with the building increased the level of difficulty. Our company managed to deliver the project by supporting the opposite scaffoldings towards the inside securing the stability of the construction.

Βuilding of Vioiatriki in Kifissias Avenue PROJECT: Settling, hiring and disassembling of metal scaffoldings and working decks during the erection phase of the building of Vioiatriki in Kifissias Avenue.The metal scaffoldings cover the whole 24,00mt of height building, implementing triple working decks, providing the workers safety and security, while metal decks with dimensions 9.00mt X 5.00mt were placed inside the building.
